Questions

What contractors ask first

Short answers. Ask anything else in your first email.

Do you work in our platforms?

Yes: Procore, Buildertrend, Bluebeam and PlanSwift with the access you give us; schedules in Primavera P6 or MS Project; estimates in Excel, laid out by CSI division.

How do your schedules meet a federal scheduling specification?

Send the specification section with your request, and the proposal shows how each requirement is met: cost-loading to your schedule of values, activity codes, calendars and layouts, and how many review-and-resubmit cycles are included. Our founder built baseline and recovery schedules in P6 and MS Project for 500+ Air Force, Navy and Army projects.

Are you on site?

Not for this service. Remote site monitoring works from what your site representative sends each day: photos, crews, equipment, quantities and deliveries. Anything that can't be verified from those is flagged the same day. If you need a site visit, we arrange one where possible, agreed in the proposal.

How is our bid data kept confidential?

We sign your NDA before you send anything, anyone we engage on your work signs the same terms, and your files are returned or deleted when the work closes.

Do you work with contractors outside the U.S.?

Yes. The same services are open to general contractors worldwide. GMT+4 overlaps the working day in the Gulf, India and much of Europe.

Can you price a design-build bid with drawings?

Yes. Our Design & Engineering service prepares the architectural and structural drawings, and the estimate is priced from the same set. For U.S. work, drawings are prepared for your architect or engineer of record to review and seal.

How much notice do you need before a bid date?

It depends on the size of the package and the number of trades. Send the documents and the bid date with your request, and the proposal confirms in writing whether the date can be met, before any work starts.

Can you work on controlled or export-controlled drawings?

Only where your contract allows it. Many federal contracts limit controlled unclassified information (CUI) and export-controlled documents to U.S. persons or approved systems, and we work from outside the U.S. Check the handling clause first; if it rules us out, we say so and decline that package.

Bid date coming up, or a site you can't visit every day?

Send the drawings, specifications and bid date, or tell us about the site. We reply within one day.
